The battle finished, Wilson and Ailith searched the castle. They found the Princess and Nan. As the friends were reunited, introductions were made between the Princess and Gristle. He nearly turned red when she thanked him. Then she turned to Wilson.
“Thank you, Wilson.”
Wilson bowed to the Princess. “It was my honor and pleasure.”
Nan, who stood by the Princess, looked at Wilson with fresh eyes. “It is possible, Princess, that I was wrong.”
Princess Variana laughed.
“May I introduce you to my Roc?” asked Wilson.
“You most certainly may.”
“Princess, this is Sherkal, Queen of the Roc.” Wilson motioned to the Princess. “Queen Sherkal,” he said aloud for the benefit of the Princess, “This is Princess Variana.”
“This is right,” said Sherkal to Wilson’s mind.
“What?”
“A rider who rides the Queen of the Roc should have a Princess for a mate.”
Wilson choked.
“What?” asked the Princess.
“Oh nothing,” replied Wilson.
“Wrong about what?” asked Wilson.
“What?” asked Princess Variana.
Ailith rolled her eyes. Gristle said nothing.
“Your Nan, she said she might be wrong. Wrong about what?” asked Wilson.
“Oh nothing,” answered the Princess.

**AUTHOR'S NOTE: You may notice I just substituted Ailith for Aella--I finally made the leap because I think the name fits her background and cultural heritage better.
