A train pulled into the station and only Jimmy got on to the car. And it was empty, just him free to sleep anywhere he wanted. Oh well he thought time to get my buzz on. So he reached into his bag and pulled out the bottle of vodka and took a big swig. It went down warm and he took another as he was customary to do. Now as the warm glow spread through his body he couldn’t help but feel exhilarated. He got up and walked from one end of the car to the other as the train rumbled on. It was an awesome feeling of freedom. At that moment he never wanted the train to stop. The train could leave New York and never come back for all he cared. He just wanted to savor the moment and the feelings he was experiencing. He had a guaranteed bed, warmth and his beloved vodka. What more could he ask for. Well another drink was in order and he sauntered back to where it waited to be drunk. But before he could reach his elixir a man came into the car from the one behind. He had a hoodie on and Jimmy could not see his face but there was something a little familiar about him. The man sat down next to Jimmy’s things before Jimmy could reach them. For a second he panicked but kept on moving towards his space. When he reached his seat the man’s head was bowed and Jimmy thought maybe he had fallen asleep. “Oh well”, he thought and he took the bottle from his bag and was about to take another swig when the man suddenly lifted his hoodie and turned towards Jimmy.
He said “Can I get a shot”? Jimmy almost tumbled from his seat. He felt like he was choking and his heart started beating like it would explode in his chest at any moment. He wanted to run but couldn’t turn away from the face looking back at him. It was improbable, insane even but Jimmy was staring at a man who looked exactly like him and he wanted vodka.
