Authors Note
You must have read about Williams Shakespeare, the greatest writer who wrote in the English language. Yes him, the writer of Macbeth, of Romeo and Juliet, of the greatest plays and poems ever written. The same was on Steemit; the same came unto his own but they knew him not. I now write the intriguing account of the days of William Shakespeare on Steemit.....
Again, Shakespeare woke up disappointed. His classic and beautifully written poem had earned a poorer payout of $0.2 from 10 upvotes. Armed with the belief that there cannot possibly be a smoke without a fire, Shakespeare went to the trending pages to read some of the trending articles therein.
Shakespeare was quite disappointed when he saw that some quotes from his 17th century works were trending. Why then was the master himself not trending? Shakespeare soon find three answers, all answering his questions independently. The answers were, as Shakespeare saw it:
- The use of bidbots
- Self votes resulting from huge STEEM power.
- Compassionate votes from whales to their virtual or physical friends.
Having made the discoveries above, Shakespeare made up his mind to return to Hades from whence he had come. He could not help the two freshmen but he had learnt a valuable lesson: that no matter how gifted a writer was, he or she cannot make an overnight success on Steemit without consistency, hard work and interacting with the community.
