I couldn't think of a way out
Two hefty men against me
It wasn't Father!
Okoro the wrestler!
And maybe his friend
I couldn't scream
I cried for not knowing what's in store for me.
I had refused OKoro's love
I had warned him against ranting the nonsense he calls poems
His greenish yellow teeth reminded me of the forbidden fruit
His words fall out as a fool
His muscles creeped me!
I was dragged along
I prayed silently for help
I wish I had stayed home instead
I wish I hadn't touched the calabash
Then I wouldn't be in this mess.
What could Okoro want exactly?
Trying to prove his love?
I silently hoped that was the case
But why should he startle me this much?
How can he be so immature?
Without muttering a single word
They dragged me along
