The CRC and several Alliance officials come together to discuss the shocking turn of events. The humans have begun to befriend, the Thranityr and help more and more clans go from being Vorax to being contributing citizens. Even to the point of becoming full allies with the humans. -- Anon Guest
"They're Humans," said one of the board members present in the quorum. "They'll pack-bond with anything alive. Even the things so toxic it'd kill them to touch it. They just invent new ways to pet things!"
"I mean, yes... Of course they're going to find a way to befriend anything capable of friendliness, but... they're doing it to the Vorax!"
"The species name is 'Thranityr'," said the mandatory point-of-order member of the board. Several around her winced. "If we must proceed in this discussion, we should at least respect their proper name."
More than a few grumbled about the necessity of respecting an enemy that would rather have them all dead. Dead and, preferably, consumed as well[1].
"Our own Humans remind us that good manners is a stepping stone towards proper diplomacy."
"They're still dangerous," allowed a board member.
"So were the Humans," offered another. "Remember when they were dangerous Deathworlders with incredible physical capabilities? Remember the shock and horror of the Britania and Ambassador Harry?"
"That was so many years ago," scoffed another at the board. "That sort of thing can't happen twice."
"Never tell a Human what they can't do," interjected a third. "They'll do it anyway."
"I'm not telling the Humans, I'm telling us."
"This meeting is being recorded for public record," said the Chair. "You may not be telling them now, but the record will be telling them later."
On the record, the representative responsible for a declaration of unlikeliness attempted to hide under their desk.
[1] Shout out to all those conservatives who would much rather that people like me, my friends, and my family all did not exist. We all know that most of that is your preferred Option B.
