It was 11 minutes to 6pm, and her phone rang again.
She knew the caller even before she picked.
She had set a special ring tune for him.
"Hello", the voice from the other end spoke.
" Hi, where are you now?" She said.
"I'll be on my way there now, we had a meeting which delayed me. I'm so sorry for keeping you waiting"
"No, it's fine" She responded.
"Take your time"
"Alright, thank you for understanding. Bye".
I'll just take another cup of coffee while I wait. She said to herself and hung up.
Two hours passed and he wasn't forth coming.
"What could be keeping him?"
She had gotten carried away by the book she was reading that she lost track of time.
"What could be keeping him?" She worried.
She immediately picked up her phone and on dialing the number, a lady picked up. She disconnected immediately and checked the number to be sure she had dialed the right number.
It was the correct number so she dialed it again and the same lady picked up.
"Hello" The lady spoke.
"Yes, why are you with his phone?"
"The owner of this phone was just involved in a ghastly motor accident and is being rushed to the hospital. If you're anyway related to him, please kindly visit LordSaint's hospital as that's where we are headed.
Thank you."
It was like a movie. No, that wasn't happening. Not for a second time.
