FIFA 2022 surprises because the game is better than ever. Many positive changes contribute to the good level of this title.
FIFA 22 presents a significant improvement not only over the 2020 version, but even the last few. You can see positive changes in every aspect of the game. At the forefront of graphics that look better on the PC during gameplay, but we still do not fully experience what the new HyperMotion technology reflects - this is what players of next-gen consoles can admire. It is a bit frustrating, because a good PC can attract such technological innovations, and EA's translations are bizarre. However, it does not change the fact that even in the absence of this technology on the PC, you can see the difference in the animation, in the movements of the entire team or individual players during the action and reactions. Everything has a salutary effect on the form of the game, its authenticity and, at the same time, unpredictability. There are moments where greater realism contributes to a more interesting and sometimes surprising game - be it in terms of ball physics and impact force, crazy ricochets, or mistakes in playing the ball cooking a deadly counter. It didn't look that good in any of the previous editions.
I have to admit that in the FIFA series, the source of my frustration is the goalkeepers who were usually nameless pegs. The goalkeepers' AI was terrible, although "no AI" would have been a better word. FIFA 22 changes that, because for the first time you feel that the goalkeeper is an important player on the team. Not only in terms of skills that need to be matched to the style of the game. Currently, the player's activity and great parades mean that it is really not that easy to score a goal. Improving the goalkeepers' AI is the best thing in FIFA. When the opponent passes the defense, we still have a chance to save the situation. I am shocked how many times the goalkeeper is equal to the challenge, because in FIFA 21 he behaved idiotically.
Of course, the above changes affect the match itself. Players behave differently, more realistically on the pitch. Their movements affect what we can actually do. If you've got used to a certain game mode, FIFA 22 will force you to change your approach. Here, the key is to play the ball well, because although effective rallies and dribbling are advisable and effective, it is not the dominant aspect. It's easy to lose the ball in the actions, so the game forces us to play the ball realistically, reminiscent of what is really going on on the pitch. The right tactics and an idea of what to do with the ball gives the best effect. This works the same in the AI game as it does with real players. And I have to admit that it changes a lot, because ... for years the match itself has not been as fun as in FIFE 22. It allows you to have more fun, because it is simply a challenge on a different level.
FIFA 22 is, above all, better gameplay than in recent years. The fun of playing matches with the AI and other players is huge, because the game can surprise you more than once, and positively. A piece of good entertainment. The only thing that still leaves you unsatisfied are the resignation from story modes. These types of Gol movie-style stories had their charm. I would prefer the creators to go in this direction and not to bet on Volta, which still does not impress.
