I have chosen to write a story in just #fiftywords

The virus had been buried for millennia. When the climate changed, ice caps melted and the virus - released, at last, from its freezing prison - took a quick trip around the world, killing the species that freed it. By the time it had finished, equilibrium had been restored to the Earth.
