Aceh Documentary Foundation re-opened the documentary film training for students and the public. This form of activity is a routine training held by Aceh Documentary Foundation which is a documentary film community in Aceh, Indonesia. Aceh Documentary has given birth to dozens of filmmakers throughout Aceh and has produced dozens of documentaries over the last 5 years.
How to get this film training?
In order for the training to maximize the benefits, the Aceh Documentary uses a story idea submission system. Participants who wish to attend the training should submit the documentary story idea in the form of a form provided by the Aceh Documentary at the acehdocumentary.com website.
The Aceh Documentary will select the best 5 story ideas to be produced into a documentary. During this training period, participants must follow a series of activities that have been determined by Aceh Documentary, such as in house training for 10 days. In this in-house training, participants will be taught how to make their story ideas into script form. In this training participants will learn how to write a script documentary film.
Then, the participants were also taught cinematographic theory. They will practice it instantly while producing a documentary film of the story ideas they send. I think the system used by Aceh Documentary is very efficient in educating young filmmakers. In addition to cinematographic theory, they will also be equipped with film editing theory.
There are no experts and film graduates in Aceh Documentary. They on average are independent film workers who care about the development of films in Aceh. I am one of the film makers born from Aceh Documentary. Currently I am still actively working in advancing film in Aceh with my friends Aceh Documentary.

Yayasan Aceh Documentary kembali membuka training film dokumenter untuk mahasiswa dan masyarakat umum. Bentuk kegiatan ini adalah training rutin yang diadakan oleh Yayasan Aceh Documentary yang merupakan sebuah komunitas film dokumenter. Bagaimana bisa mengikuti training ini?
Supaya training bisa memberi manfaat yang maksimal, maka Aceh Documentary memakai sistem pengiriman ide cerita. Peserta yang ingin mengikuti training harus mengirimkan ide cerita dokumenter dalam bentuk sebuah formulir yang telah disediakan oleh pihak Aceh Documentary di website acehdocumentary.com.
Aceh Documentary akan menyeleksi 5 ide cerita terbaik untuk kemudian diproduksi menjadi sebuah film dokumenter. Dalam masa training ini, peserta wajib mengikuti serangkaian kegiatan yang telah ditentukan oleh Aceh Documentary, diantaranya adalah in house training selama 10 hari. Dalam masa in house training ini, peserta akan diajarkan cara menjadikan ide cerita mereka ke dalam bentuk script. Di training ini nantinya peserta memperoleh ilmu bagaimana menulis sebuah script film dokumenter.
Kemudian, peserta juga diajarkan teori sinematografi. Mereka akan mempraktekkannya langsung saat memproduksi film dokumenter dari ide cerita yang mereka kirim. Saya rasa, sistem yang digunakan oleh Aceh Documentary ini sangat efisien dalam mendidik sineas-sineas muda. Selain teori sinematografi, mereka juga akan dibekali teori editing film.
Tidak ada tenaga ahli dan lulusan sekolah film di dalam Aceh Documentary ini. Mereka rata-rata adalah pekerja film independen yang yang peduli terhadap perkembangan film di Aceh. Saya adalah salah satu film maker yang lahir dari Aceh Documentary. Saat ini saya juga masih aktif bekerja dalam memajukan perfilman di Aceh bersama kawan-kawan Aceh Documentary.
