A brahminy kite swoops in for a closer look in Borneo

Higher than a kite
I remember what shot through my head that moment: Eagles hunt down drones. This could be the end of it. My brother will be upset. I will have broken a company asset. Has the drone paid for itself? Yes, we'll get a new one. Will the bird be okay? That did not cross my mind. This happens once. Get the shot. Don't mess up. Poor footage will be more disappointing than no footage.
Watch the bird rise, stare down the barrel, fan the lens and bank into the horizon. Hold the shot. Zigzag home with sweaty palms and trembling limbs. It's good to be alive!
The exhilarating encounter took place above my house in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. I was inspecting the new drone firmware when a brahminy kite swooped in to inspect a lunch option. Or exactly what happened here?
The clip plugs my film company Borneo Productions International (BPI). We have been making films in Indonesia since 2009.
