2015 was the year when the behemoth called Marvel Cinematic Universe began to show signs of fatigue. One such example could be found in its flagship film Avengers: Age of Ultron. Rather complicated plot gathers Avengers, first in struggle against Hydra in fictitious East European country of Sokovia, than against Ultron (voiced by James Spader), AI system originally designed to help them in saving Earth. Written and directed by Joss Whedon, Age of Ultron, unlike the first Avengers, puts more emphasis on action and less on characters. The action, despite huge CGI budget, looks repetitive and predicatble, while Whedon uses most of the lighter, character-focused content, at the very beginning, making the rest of the film unnecessarily dark.
