Matilda acts in the movie as well, butt (intentional) there is no denying what the primary focus on her is. I'm pretty sure that her ass was in the shot more frequently than her face was. Butt I suppose that is beside the point. The movie has other merits too and it was actually pretty entertaining although there are certain asspects (lol) of it that were completely unrealistic.
So the story is that Jen (Matilda Lutz) is on a getaway with her lover who is already married. It is meant to be a private affair but his friends turn up for a hunting trip that is meant to take place at the same remote location (in the middle of the desert.) This is where the movie takes its first "huh?" turn. Jen has to arrive by helicopter due to the remote location of the house yet these two pals apparently walked there as we did not hear or see any helicopter drop them off.
That night the 4 people in the house party and of course Jen wears next to nothing and dances like a stripper showing off a bunch of her body and driving the fellas crazy with desire aaaaaand the next day they rape and push her off a cliff where she is impaled by a tree.
This is where the movie becomes a bit of a gore-fest and while I find this sort of cinematography quite interesting I can certainly understand why others would not. It is difficult to watch at times because they did such a good job with it and it all looks realistic although if you know anything about the human body, is completely impossible. I wont get into too much detail because I think you should watch this movie if you have the stomach for it, but things like Jen losing something like 20 times the amount of blood a human body contains is where it is completely absurd.
I can understand why they would do this though: The movie was intended to be a bloody mess and you can't do that if you are going to be realistic about things like being able to survive being impaled and losing all the blood in your body multiple times.
Jen doesn't really have much choice since they are in-fact pursuing her so they can "clean up" what they started, but she ends up stalking them - which is remarkable considering the extent of her injuries and the fact that she presumably has never used guns before. Plus she has no shoes on, doesn't have a vehicle (they do), and is wearing only underpants.
This movie probably sounds corny the way that I am describing it but if you can suspend your knowledge of anatomy for 90 minutes it is actually very entertaining unless you are squeamish about blood and violence. Oh, and a lot of the film is in French so there is a good chance that you are going to have to read the subtitles.
