Sometimes I ask myself what it really takes to succeed. And I pause… because the answer doesn’t fit into a pretty quote. It’s not just “work hard” or “have vision.” It’s rougher than that. Success costs. And no, I’m not talking about money. I’m talking about sacrifice.
I’m 25 years old. I’m a business administrator, importer, and trader. And while that might sound nice in a bio, reality is something else. I’ve had to leave things behind. Friends, free time. I’ve said “no” to parties, trips, quiet Sundays. Not because I’m antisocial, but because I chose to build something. And building comes at a price.
There’s no magic formula. Some days everything goes wrong. You lose money, a shipment gets canceled, the market turns against you. And there you are, alone in front of the screen, wondering if it’s worth it. It is but it doesn’t always feel that way.
Sacrifice isn’t glamorous. You don’t see it on social media. No one posts stories saying “I missed my nephew’s birthday today to check inventory.” But it happens. And it happens often.
Do I regret it? No. But I’m not going to romanticize it either. There are tough moments. Days when you wonder if you’re losing more than you’re gaining. And that’s when something I learned the hard way kicks in: success isn’t just measured in results. It’s measured in what you’re willing to give up for something that matters to you.
Not everyone is willing. And that’s okay. Everyone has their own path. But if you, my friend from Hive, are in that stage where you’re leaving things behind to build something… I get you. You’re not alone. This path is demanding, but it also shapes you. It makes you stronger, clearer, more you.
And in the end, when you look back, you don’t just see achievements. You see everything you had to let go of to get there. And that, even when it hurts, is part of the pride.

A veces me pregunto qué se necesita para tener éxito. Y me quedo pensando… porque la respuesta no cabe en una frase bonita. No es solo “trabajar duro” o “tener visión”. Es más crudo que eso. El éxito cuesta. Y no, no hablo de plata. Hablo de sacrificios.
Tengo 25 años. Soy administrador, importador y trader. Y aunque suena bonito en la bio, la realidad es otra. He tenido que dejar cosas atrás. Amigos, tiempo libre. He dicho “no” a fiestas, a viajes, a domingos tranquilos. No porque sea antisocial, sino porque elegí construir algo. Y construir cuesta.
No hay fórmula mágica. Hay días en los que todo sale mal. Pierdes dinero, te cancelan un pedido, el mercado se mueve en tu contra. Y ahí estás tú, solo frente a la pantalla, preguntándote si vale la pena. Sí, pero no siempre se siente así.
El sacrificio no es glamoroso. No se ve en redes. Nadie sube historias diciendo “hoy me perdí el cumpleaños de mi sobrino por revisar inventario”. Pero eso pasa. Y pasa seguido.
¿Me arrepiento? No. Pero tampoco voy a romantizarlo. Hay momentos duros. Hay días en los que te preguntas si estás perdiendo más de lo que ganas. Y ahí entra algo que aprendí a la fuerza: el éxito no se mide solo en resultados. Se mide en lo que estás dispuesto a entregar por algo que te importa.
No todos están dispuesto. Y está bien. Cada quien tiene su camino. Pero si tú amigo de hive estás en esa etapa en la que estás dejando cosas atrás para construir algo… te entiendo. No estás solo. Este camino es exigente, pero también te forma. Te hace más fuerte, más claro, más tú. Y al final, cuando miras atrás, no ves solo logros. Ves todo lo que tuviste que soltar para llegar ahí. Y eso, aunque duela, también es parte del orgullo.
No podemos heredar el éxito, pero si lo podemos construir 💪🏻 y cada ladrillo es un sacrificio que estamos dispuesto hacer. Que nada detenga tu sueño y tú decides si luchar por tus sueños o trabajar por los de alguien más.
