Car insurance is a big waste of money... UNTILL YOU REALLY NEED IT. Last month I lent my car to a friend and him and his buddies got in an accident. One of them did not make it... I have no idea what kind of trouble we would all be dealing with had I not had insurance... Car insurance is mandatory for a reason. It's not a fun payment to have to make but it is very, very helpful... You wont see that until you need it.
