First time on this blog there's going to be a traditional finnish food on the menu. Vendace fish, with it a tasty & wild mushroom salad. With them there is also potatoes, carrot and organic beetroot.
Ingredients:
-Local vendace fish
-Dill
-Potatoes
-Carrot
-Onions
-Organic beetroot
-Cowberry
-Salt
Wild mushroom salad is a easy add-on to produce.
-Chopped onion
-Olive oil
-10 different mushroom varieties.
First of all its good to cook the Vendance fish, while potatoes and carrots are cooking at the same time.
Origin of this serving comes pretty much from local fishing lakes of Karjala and Savo. In Karelia agrarian people, karelian lifestyle & finnish eastern tradition unites.
Looks so tasty and traditional! Once again milk is the best one to serve with it.
Some of the spices comes so far away from history that they cannot be traced. Just a touch of a rosmarine throws in as a modern add-on for this meal.
