After I delivered by daughter to school, I went down to Lake Pikku-Vesijärvi Park. I've taken pictures of it before. In the today's pictures you can see how the spring is progressing. It seems that the spring will soon be coming to an end. The so-called water organ was under maintenance. The pond under which there is a system of lights and pipes and valves used to create water and light show was emptied and the system could be seen. There are also four sets of loudspeakers around the pond from which music is played during the shows. I talked to the maintenance guys and the person responsible for programming the shows was present. The system was built in Germany and it was installed in the late 1990s. It is controlled by software made for controlling theatre lights running on a PC in a small concrete building nearby.
The pond in which the water organ is is dried during the maintenance work.
These are the pumps that provide water pressure for the fountain. There is one more in the middle.

This is the "bunker" in which the PC controlling the water organ is.
This pile of electrically controlled valves is to be replaced with pneumatically controlled ones. The programmer said he will have to adjust the program because the pneumatic valves are much slower to react to commands.
This large birch three is busy making leaves. The warm spell is accelerating the process.
The trees around the pond are mostly bare. But I'd say that it should look different in a week or so.
The obligatory up-the-tree.
There is an island in the pond.
