You can watch these beautiful fireworks at Japanese fireworks event, "全国花火競技大会「大曲の花火」/National Fireworks Competition Convention, Omagari fireworks" in Akita pref. on the end of August.
As its name suggests, this is not just a festival but a competition by firework craftsmen.
These soulful fireworks are worth watching at least once in your life, though Akita pref. is a little far from Tokyo.
