Dear Hive Community,
in this post i share another Fly-fishing experience of this year. This time we fished on the Wiesent River in Franconian Switzerland.
Here a Map from one of the spots we fished.
This region is famous for its limestone Mountains where the Wiesent founds its spring.
Through the limestone the Water is especially nutritious and has a spectacular color.
There is a lot of weed also in the Water. Its a perfect hiding spot for Fishes.
The River flows through limestone ravines and is mostly surrounded by Forrest.
You can find some stunning panoramas.
And many old castles.
Most parts of the river are covered in thick vegetation which makes finding a good fishing spot not easy.
You are also not allowed to stand in the river which means you need to rely on spots on the river bank. That makes throwing you fishing line challenging.
Also you have to take care of paddlers during the working hours between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. which is not making it easier to fish there.
So you can be happy to find a spot like this.
And enjoy catching some beautiful Trouts
And observe the local Wildlife
Like this cute baby duck.
Or this Wasp eating another Insect.
At some parts the river flows through the town, where you can also get a fishing permit.
Here just a couple of panoramic pictures i want to share of this nice place.
A big limestone peaking out the Forrest.
Thank your for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed this little journey. If you want to know more details about this spot, let me know.
Have a nice evening and see you soon!
