Today my oar lock came loose from my boat and went overboard, I am still not sure how it ended up on the bottom of the river. I took my landing net and kept tapping the river bottom until I heard a clink sound, then I tried to dip it up but that was not happening. I keep a short pvc pipe on my boat, it has a bent nail in one end. I use it to lift my live bait holding pen with, we use to tie the holding pens to the dock, but people were stealing our bait, so now we throw them in the river and use that pipe to retrieve them with. Anyway I felt the oar lock with the pipe and used the pipe to push it into the net, it took several trys but I got it. This is the one that I did not lose. You can see how it is tied to the boat so it does not go overboard, I do not know how the other one came loose.
I caught this guy today it is a sea robin, he has a face only his mother can love.
We have been having bad weather lately, this week we fished Sunday, Monday and today, Tuesday, and now the weather is going to be bad until Saturday then we can fish, so I stayed late, the sun was almost down.
I only caught 10 pompano, sorry pic is blurry.
