I spend so much time at the climbing gym just constantly pulling myself up things, that I often forget that my muscles can be used for pushing (and stabilizing) as well. I used to work a lot on handstand practice, as well as hand-stand pushups. I felt that they really helped me strengthen my core and work on the often neglected opposing muscles. Today is one of the first days of Week #12, and we're about to get into our "Performance Phase". I'm going to try to get strict with my diet in hopes that I an find some dry rock around these parts and haul my heavy ass up to some glory.
