So, I've decided to join in with 's Movement Month challenge. Though I didn't feel that I could do even the lowest distance (Team Red/Vegan - 50 km) as a walker, so I suggested Team Pink, with half the Red content at 25 km. (updated list in the more recent update )
And then I had the fun of my hip doing it's thing, which I know slows me up quite a bit, as well as requiring rest. Glad I didn't push for the 50 km, especially when joining 9 days into the month!
On the plus side, and the actual progress being made side - Today I walked the minimum distance to get to and from my gaming group. 2.1 km. I also decided that I can count last week's walk at the minimum distance also, so I'll log 3/5 - 2.1 km and 10/5 2.1 km. I can't reliably know how much walking we did in the pool last week so I'm not counting it. It's also likely only 150 - 200 m, so not really worth that much in a distance thing, but it is something else I've been doing.
With 4.2 of 25 down, I'm hoping to get out and do some actual walking just for the point of walking at least twice a week, and preferably 3 times. I think the distance is well in reach, but I just need a week where I'm busy with other things or unwell for me not to get to the target.
If I ever run into my housemate, and she lets me borrow her bike, and I can actually ride it, well, the distance won't be an issue since I'll go for a 5-10 km ride once a week.
