I want to share with all of you my process back into the gym. About a year ago after completing 15 weeks out of a 24 week Navy Seal training workout, I tore my ACL. This put me on bedrest and out of commission in the gym for months until I could do the extremely basic physical therapy workouts. I won't lie, it was hard to not gain weight, but I am back in the gym now and on the grind.
I want to make periodic blogs on Steemit sharing my exercises. They will start out basic but get more advanced as we go. I will be doing them with you each week as these are exactly what I will be doing.
Here is what I am doing for week 1: (Keep in mind this is basic)
Exercise #1) Two miles on treadmill at 8 min pace per mile
Exercise #2) Regular planks - 1 minute for 3 sets
Exercise #3) Side planks each side 45 seconds for 3 sets
Exercise #4) 20 push-ups for 6 sets
Make sure to keep your body straight and your butt down!
Exercise #5) 8 chin-ups for 6 sets
And that's it for week 1
I will throw in some cardio and some simple stuff in between, but these workouts above are to get my muscles shocked and back in grind mode. Please make sure to stretch before and after your workout to avoid soreness and injury!
Let me know your thoughts below!
