I had another weigh in today. Somehow, given the events of the last week: a 30th birthday (not mine), a funeral (not mine, read about that here...), and a significant amount of wine, cheat meals, and general lack of discipline - I've still managed to lose weight - another kilogram and a bit since the last time.
I'm still yet to beat my 2KM time from previously published best - with diet now taking more of a front seat against training, given the crazy whirlwind that the last few weeks have been.
In addition, I have to travel for work next week for three days, which interrupts my "getting back into it rhythm". With luck, I should be able to train on Monday night, after saying hi to , and dropping a silver round into his pocket. If you've read this far, and have realised that as a result of this text, I'll be in Melbourne, feel free to contact me on discord to discuss spending some time on Monday evening somewhere in Melbourne.

You can even send me a message full of nothing but abuse. I won't mind. :D
I set myself an interesting game today, using the rowing machine, and a 200 metre interval. Every 200 metres gifted me a 30second rest, before I went at it again. I'd keep going until my time slipped over a minute. I got seven intervals in, before my trainer came to distract me, with mundane tasks such as squats, burpees, and other bits of functional training, such as TRX push ups - which I'll be feeling tomorrow.
At least I have a remedial massage tomorrow to undo all the damage.
Then, when I jump on a cramped plane on Monday morning, the damage will be dealt right back at my body.
It's just the human condition, right?
I'm pain free, at least - and there was even moments of overwhelming euphoria during this evening's exercise period. I'm not sure if that's because I experienced several near death experiences, or a healthy cocktail of endorphins and dopamine were triggered by the physical activity.
In any case, I'm still on the tracks, even though the last fortnight has been a complete trainwreck.
