Ok Fine I'm Jumping On The Bandwagon
I'm not sure where this little fad started but nominated me and now I'm obliged to partake :-P
I nominate and
who now must also write facts about themselves!
1. I Dropped Out of University
I'm one of those people who followed their passion in choosing a degree course. I have always been fascinated by physics and astronomy, so Physics with Astrophysics was a natural first choice of degree. I still love those things today, but I was never able to study. I got away with it in secondary school and the first year of University, but I started to be punished for it in 2nd and 3rd year. I had to repeat 2nd year once for a Math exam, and 3rd year twice. I never ended up passing General Relativity and ended up dropping out of University entirely. I never really understood why I was like this until many years later when I learned that...
2. I have ADHD
Later when my career as a software developer had gotten going I actually began to realize there was something specific that was wrong with me. Before then, it had always just been a vague problem, something that affected every aspect of my life but I was confounded by what the problem really was. After talking to a friend who had also been diagnosed, I eventually recognized that the traits were a description of myself and my problems. A specialist in diagnosing ADHD agreed (eventually, after a long waiting period). This enabled me to get help in the workplace from Enable Ireland, and although I tried to get treatment for ADHD symptoms, I haven't really found anything that works for me yet, but recently things have been going ok despite that.
3. I Started Following Bitcoin in 2011 When it was $2
I think...
I'm not 100% sure when exactly it was, but I came across Bitcoin on the Stack Exchange website, which I was obsessed with when I first got into software development in 2010/2011. Bitcoin.StackExchange was a relatively new part of the site, and it piqued my curiosity. I had also been thinking about the nature of money and especially the problems of our current financial system since the 2008 crash. I thought that the future was something like MPesa, ideally with several competing central banks. Bitcoin was a better solution, although I didn't quite realize it at the time. It wasn't until early 2013 that I first tried to buy Bitcoin, having followed it only loosely but hearing about interest surging. Getting signed up and verified with Mt. Gox was too much of a hassle though, and it's probably for the best that I never did. You all know how that went...
Thankfully I bought into Steem a lot quicker.
4. I'm a Dog Lover
My family have had dogs since I was fairly young, and I was never quite happy without one. As soon as I lived in a place where I was allowed, I got a dog, my little Norwich Terrier which you can see in my profile picture. My parent's dog (pictured above) spends about 1/2 her time with myself and as well.
5. I just Registered on MillionaireMatch.com
I mean come on, $750,000 worth of Steem Power has to open some doors, right?? Seems a bit false advertising though, none of the girls are millionaires...
