This is a Trabebuia tree in my front yard. Most Trabebuias are trees, but occasionally some may be large bushes. They usually grow in tropic areas and are commonly seen blooming now at this time of the year in southern Florida. Their beautiful yellow color brightens residential areas as well as streets and boulevards. They do not have deep roots, and during hurricane season, many are blown over. There are 67 species of trabebuias and most come from Cuba and Hispaniola.
