Last week I was in Chiasso Switzerland and I saw a beautiful Wisteria vine in full bloom. Chiasso sits at an altitude of 230 meters and my house in Sagno is at about 730 meters.
I took pictures of the Wisteria vines in both locations. Notice how much further ahead the blooms are at 230 verses 730 meters.
Here Are The Wisteria Vines at 230 Meters!
Here you can see that the Wisteria is in full bloom!
I'm not sure how old this vine is but judging by its thickness it's pretty old!
Wisteria is so beautiful when it's in bloom!
Here Are The Wisteria Vines At 730 Meters
This entire wall is filled with Wisteria vines but you can just see them starting to come to life.
All of these buds will be in bloom about 10-14 days after there cousins which live 500 meters lower.
What About You!
- Do you notice some plants flowering sooner depending on their elevation?
- How high above sea level do you live?
- Do you like Wisteria?
Thanks for following me on my blockchain travels and I look forward to sharing my adventures with you.
Until next time,
