There's nothing like tasty flowers in the spring!
The Redbud tree is one of the amazing wild edibles that I met when we moved down to Arkansas. The trees become covered in an incredible amount of edible pink flowers even before the leaves show up in the spring, which is why many enjoy growing them as an ornamental tree. I recently pulled over to photograph one, and here are some of my favorites.
CREATURES IN THE FLOWERS
Interestingly enough, while I was photographing the flowers on this one, I noticed both a honeybee and a bottle-fly, so I tried to capture them in these photos.
MORE FLOWER SHOTS
Here are some more photos of just the tree and flowers. They sure are pretty, and tasty too! We like sprinkling them on top of salads to brighten things up a bit. I enjoyed eating a few of these with the after the photo shoot!
As always, I'm
