BIOGRAPHY
Sultan Iskandar Muda is the son of Puteri Raja Indra Bangsa, the descendant of Raja Darul Kamal's family and his father is Sultan Alauddin Mansur Syah who is the son of Sultan Abdul Jalil bin Sultan 'Alaiddin Ri'ayat Shah Al-Kahhar.
Great in the palace environment, when Haskandar Muda was old enough sent his father to learn on Teungku Di Bitai, one of the scholars of Baitul Mukadis insolent astronomy and hymn science.
The young Iskandar studied knowledge from him. Furthermore, Iskandar Muda's father began receiving many famous scholars from Mecca and from Gujarat.
Among these were three highly influential people in Iskandar Muda's intellectuals, Sheikh Abdul Khair Ibnu Hajar, Muhammad Jamani of Mecca and Sekh Muhammad Djailani bin Hasan Ar-Raniry from Gujarat.
Crowned on June 29, 1606, Sultan Iskandar Muda gave a new order in his kingdom. He appointed the adat leaders for each tribe and drafted the state order and the qanun which became the guidance of the kingdom and the relationship between the king and the people.
During his 30 years reign (1606 - 1636 BC) Sultan Iskandar Muda has brought the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam in glory. At that time, this kingdom has become the fifth largest Islamic kingdom in the world after the Islamic kingdom of Morocco, Isfahan, Persia and Agra.
The entire territory of the Malay peninsula has been united under its kingdom and the economic kingdom of Aceh Darussalam has had an international trade diplomacy relationship internationally.
The people of Aceh also experienced prosperity with the arrangement covering all aspects of life, made by Iskandar Muda.
In 1993, on September 14, the government of the Republic of Indonesia conferred the title of National Hero to Sultan Iskandar Muda for his service and glory to establish the important foundations of his constitutional relationship and for his majesty.
