Wiener Schnitzel (veal or pork): This is a very tasty meal, it's world famous and there are many ways when it comes to preparation. But i will show you the easiest way on how to do it.
Ingredients for one serving:
- 160-200g of veal (classic type of meat for this meal) or pork meat, cut into escalopes
- salt
- pepper
- some flour
- 1-2 beaten whole eggs
- bread crumbs (fine)
- oil or fat for frying
What tools and materials do you need:
- meat hammer or something similar
- 3 pieces of bowls
- a tool to beat eggs like a eggbeater/whisk
- pan
- hotplate
- knife and cutting board
Let's go for preparation:
- cut the meat into a escalope(s)
- add the flour, egg(s), breadcrumbs into the 3 bowls, beat the eggs
- pound the meat (i additionally used foil, it's easier and way cleanlier)
- season the meat with salt and pepper on both sides
- bread the meat (first the flour, then the eggs, last the breadcrumbs)
- heat-up a pan with about 4-7 cm depth of oil in it, up to 160-180°C / 320-355°F, it shouldn't smoke, if it does, the temperature was to high,
- when it is heat up, gently put in the prepared Wiener Schnitzel and fry it, after 1-3 minutes (if it got some color) turn it around and repeat the same on this side
- after that, take it out of the hot oil, and lay it on some paper towel to remove spare oil and "dry" it a little bit
DONE! This was very easy right?
Serve Basmati rice, parboiled rice, potatoes, fries, leaf salad, mixed salad or potato salad with this tasty and classic, maybe epic Wiener Schnitzel!
