I'm sure I'm not the only person here who has poured countless hours into FM games over the years. The strategic patience required to take a non-league minnow all the way to European glory is not to be sniffed at, and scouring the transfer market with a fine-tooth comb for that perfect striker is an activity all of us 'managers' will have partaken part in. Personally I've always been a fan of starting in the lower leagues, and trying to work my way up gradually to the Prem. Yes this is a very time consuming way to play the game, but as FM doesn't require sound to be on you can listen to podcasts while you play, so it's kind of productive... right?
So here's my greatest story. On Football Manager 2010 I led an admittedly relatively well financed Notts County side all the way from League Two to become year 2024/25 Premier League Champions. Yes this took HUNDREDS of hours, but I was a first year uni student at the time so I had more than my fair share of free time. By that point most of my team were young computer-generated players scouted mostly from the Brazilian league. My only regret is that I was never able to achieve Champions League glory.
What is your proudest FM achievement? I know there are at least 1 or 2 FM players here on Steemit, is one!
