Yesterday I did a post about John Daly and his charitable gesture to one family. Golf is an individual sport so i thought I would have a look at a football club and see what and how they do their public relations within their particular communities.

Make a wish charity on a preseason tour with Chef Klopp.
Liverpool Football Club do a hell of a lot for their community and when you break it down they are totally committed to the area around the club. Everyone at the club has to be involved including the junior teams like the Under 18's. The training staff and officials are all expected to pull their weight and show their faces at some event every week. The club has committed to 70 appearances per week whether it is at a school or a hospital and everyone needs to chip in to help. The club comes across as one big family and the community are part of that family.

Even Everton fans get given Christmas gifts from the team. I am sure he got ragged fro having an Everton pillow.
Here are some figures of what was achieved last season.
152 000 children involved with the Liverpool Football Club program.
1100 match tickets given to tickets and parents.
845 kids entertained in an executive box for match day experiencing Anfield for their first time.
School holiday breakfasts provided to children.
Over 1700 families benefit from the clubs food bank donations on match day.
Christmas lunch for 450 pensioners every year.
25 schools around the stadium are part of the Liverpool Clubs experience offering different and interesting things for kids to get involved with.
These are impressive figures for a club firmly entrenched with it's supporters and no wonder they are loved so much. I have watched some of their videos on youtube and how they brighten up the day of the school kids they visit. This is different to what Daly did though as no one would have known if the recipients hadn't mentioned it. This is good publicity for Liverpool though as they are a business and being in the public eye and doing good is good for business and their image.
