The Eiffel tower even had his name lit up in lights.
When Neymar arrived at PSG from Barcelona he could have done anything he wanted. The fans worshiped the ground he walked on and thought it was the biggest scoop of the last 10 years. No one in their right mind would trigger the negotiation clause that Barcelona had put in place yet Paris St Germain did just that.
Backed by rich Arab owners the club could afford to buy anyone they wanted. This forced Barcelona to adjust all of their player contracts especially Lionel Messis's one. Neymar's buyout clause was $262 Millionand PSG did the deal. Messi's is reputed to be around $850 Million. I have read some reports over the last few days that David Beckham and his MLS Miami soccer team are keen to land a deal with him. Nothing shocks me anymore and maybe someone is dumb enough to pay that sort of money.

Neymar scores the winner and he is booed by his own fans. What a prized dick this guy is.
Back to Neymar as after the episode he just pulled on PSG he shouldn't be surprised at the backlash he is receiving. It became fairly obvious mid way through the first season he wanted to return back to Barcelona. Reporters don't make that kind of story up if there isn't a story to be had. Where there is smoke there is fire. He went awol from the club testing his boundaries to try and force their hands.
The problem with Neymar is that he isn't a $50 Million player but they paid over five times that price and you can't just off load him or do a swap deal. realistically there are very few clubs that could afford him and why would you buy damaged goods. The way he has treated PSG is appalling and this would affect his valuation immensely. He is a risk and who says he won't do it at another club.
The fans are calling him for what he is and that is a turncoat. He turned his back on the club and has said he doesn't want to be there by his actions. The problem for Neymar is you need the fans behind you to enjoy your time at the club. If he is not committed to the club PSG have a massive problem and maybe the solution is to leave him on the bench and teach him a valuable lesson.
If Neymar takes PSG to the Champions League Final and scores a hat trick then he may win his supporters back, but he needs to have a brilliant season to do this. I think he has been the most over valued ,over rated player that the big clubs have fallen for. No one is worth that sort of value as for that price he should be scoring every time he touches the ball. He is lucky I am not his manager as I would have taken him on a special field trip.
