Messi and Ronaldo have been juggling the ballon d'or between themselves since 2008. Both the Real Madrid and Barcelona's team and style of play is centred around them which maximizes their remarkable abilities.
Neymar is sort of a sideshow at Barca however there was a period last season when Messi was out of action due to injuries and suspension and the Brazilian was phenomenal. He seamlessly took up the mantle of top-dog and scored and assisted some majestic goals.
For me Messi is unbelievable and I am a huge fan but his brilliance is rarely carried over to his national team. Neymar on the other hand performs equally well for Brazil and with next year being a World Cup year I expect Neymar to sparkle and be world player of the year
