FORMER Chelsea, West Ham and England midfielder, Frank Lampard is set to be announced as the new head coach of Championship side, Derby County in the coming days.
The 39-year old will replace former boss, Gary Rowett who joined newly relegated side, Stoke City last week.
Lampard who was also interviewed for the Ipswich Town role will be taking to the first step in his coaching career with this appointment. Although some little financials need to be resolved, both parties are confident that of a deal coming through.
The Former Manchester City player who was capped by his country 109 times, had a trophy laden career with Chelsea, winning three Premier League titles Four FA Cup medals, two League cups, Europa League and famously, the Champions League in 2012.
He will reportedly. be joined by Chelsea's U18 coach, Jordan Morris who led the Blues' youth team to successive FA Cup triumphs.
Derby failed to gain promotion to the Premier League after finish sixth and losing in the Playoffs semifinal to Fulham.
