Most notable among this was the report that Everton's Ross Beckley changed his mind about joining Chelsea while having a medical at the club... I mean, who does that?
Leicester's Ryan Mahrez also had is own share of the deadline day disappointment. After flying in from Algeria's world cup qualifier camp to seal a move away from the club, he watched agonizingly as not a single single bid was made for him as the window closed.
Another dramatic twist was in the case of Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez whose fate of leaving the club was never in his hands. His fate was sealed however, when Monaco's Lemar changed his mind about joining Arsenal, effectively blocking Alexis' exit to Manchester City.
