Just curious if anyone out there has a similar opinion about the government's involvement in marriage.
My wife and I decided not to go the legally recognized route when we got married. Instead we had a pastor perform the ceremony in front of family and friends without filling out a marriage document. We realize this is definitely more difficult in the long run.
However, it seemed vastly preferable to feeding the government another fee and being in any sort of data bank.
Thoughts?
