Our country Nepal is rich in natural beauties, gifts, resources, and wonders. The forest is one of the necessary resources for each and every people living in various areas. People clear the forest for various purposes. One of the important causes of the destruction is rapid population growth. People cut the trees for the firewood, building materials, and furniture and for making the medicines, domestic animals eat up the newly growing plants. The main cause f its destruction is poor public awareness. Due to forest destruction, it causes natural disasters.
Preservation of forest is necessary for the controlling natural disasters or calamities. Forest destruction invites many disasters. Some of them are landslides, rivers, and lakes, weather extremes, pollution, greenhouse effect, and desertification. The natural disasters as such are extremely destructive for all the living creatures.
