That's right. I like some of these themed photography days on Steemit so much that I decided to make my own. Welcome to the very first "Forgotten Friday" post! Abandoned stuff is one of our favorite things to explore while on our travels. We've come across some pretty awesome places too. Desert ghost towns, abandoned mountaintop hotels, forgotten dams and pump houses in the jungle, etc. Starting today, I'll post a photo or two of these lost treasures every Friday and tag them with 'forgottenfriday'. Please enjoy them... or better yet, join in with your own abandoned photos!
The inauguratory Forgotten Friday post is the remains of this circa 1920's automobile I came across in the Death Valley ghost town of Leadfield. I'm not sure exactly what type of vehicle this was. Perhaps a car? Or a utility truck of some sort?? The town itself popped up into existence in 1925 and was already abandoned by 1927, so I can only assume the model year of this car was somewhere in the ball park of the early 1920's. A really cool find either way. Classic desert scenery.
Thanks for checking out this first Forgotten Friday post! I'm already looking forward to next Friday. lol
