Sebastian Vettel won the Melbourne F1 race followed by Lewis Hamilton that stood on his trail until the last minute and Kimi Raikkonen on the third place of the podium.
Melbourne, Australia was the traditional circuit to open the 2018 F1 Season with just a few "fights" for the first places as the finish line and not to much to hold your breath for. Just after the flag opened the race Lewis Hamilton went well from his position and easily blocked Kimi Raikkonen's attempt to overtake him, while Sebastian Vettel remained in third position.
The first to stop at the pits was Kimi Raikkonen followed by Hamilton after one lap while Vettel was eating track for three more laps. Grosjean from Haas was soon stuck on the circuit which made the Safety Car enter the circuit. This event helped Vettel who managed to enter the pits and return just ahead of Hamilton.
After the Safety Car left the F1 grand circus to continue Lewis Hamilton was only 1 second behind Vettel trying to overtake him until the last minute, but nothing could change the charts. This way the German driver begins the F1 Season with his hard earned victory on the Melbourne circuit from Australia.
Hamilton had to drink the second place champagne on the podium next to Raikkonen who was pushed from the back by Ricciardo the way Vettel was with Lewis Hamilton. Fernando Alonso got the 5th place after Max Verstappen's pit stop and Magnussen and Grosjean leaving the race. Verstappen crossed the finish line 6th followed by Hulkenberg from Renault and Valtteri Bottas on the 8th place after starting the race from the 15th place due to his incident suffered in the qualifications.
