The weapon industry.

The industry that needs to make ever more weapons to keep up the demand for ever more profit.

I'm in no way a professional in this area but I'll try to communicate my view on the topic as good as I can by using what I have learned so far about this industry. And I'll try to give examples to illustrate cause and effect of the drive for profit.

There is a market for weapons, and that market is the reason for the industry to exist. So let's make lost of weapons.
Design a weapon cheap and easy to mass produce, and get a production line running. Weapons alone are useless, lets also make ammo. Make enough weapons to give every possible soldier in the country a toy. And enough bullets to shoot in a pile of sand to teach them how to aim. Shoot shoot shoot, all those bullets have a shelf life efery bullet not fired is a safety hazard on a shelf. So SHOOT, keep shooting. Keep the money rolling.

Then a shelf is empty... Wait, that's a bad thing. War may happen, then we don't have enough in stock. LETS MAKE MORE BULLETS. That's treadmill is up and running soon and very easy to maintain.

But then the designers already work on a new model....
And treadmill 2 will be put to action.

Once that runs, Yet another model will be developed. And the oldest model will become obsolete! O that sucks... A full warehouse of old shit...

Now we need to notify the Secretary of State. As this is a real problem. We need an empty warehouse so that we can stock the new model...
New model production line needs money to get build. Old stock costs lots of money and the ammo in stock will soon reach the expire date. Problems, lots of problems. We need to get rid of the old shit.

LETS MAKE WAR!

Lets cause a conflict in the far east and let it get out of control as fast as possible.
Now they will need weapons. But damn, we can not sell them. The world is watching...

Who else has money in that region?

Saudi Arabia?

Dear Saudi friends, we have weapons for sale. Saudies sure want to buy cheap weapons, but they prefer to get a reduced price. No problem We have a Charity Foundation for that. Donate a BIG amount of money in our foundation and we'll give you an even bigger reduction!

DEAL. Weapons are sold. Warehouse is empty, lets make WEAPONS! And look, we have new JOBS! Weapons are good for JOBS.

Mean wile the Saudies are sitting on old stock... Nobody wants to buy... Lets give some to ISIS so they can get used to them...
ISIS needs bullets. Saudies sell bullets. And eventually there will be a demand for new bullets. YAY MORE JOBS, can't say no to that can we?

More conflict more DANGERRRRRR.

Now we need to protect ourselves against ISIS. with MODERN WEAPONS!!! MORE JOBS!!!! We are wonderful people...
Let's shoot the basterds that we created! People will love us for saving them from the danger we created.
Time to ship our 'heroes' out there. We don't care how many of our 'heroes' will die. We are safe and sound in our factory. Go boys, be heroes! Just like in the movies. SHOOT SHOOT SHOOT. Keep the production lines rolling, your wives need the jobs to feed your children. And we need the profits to make our CEO's fatter.

What if:

• What if all that money would have been used to produce decent food, and to make poverty a thing of the past?
• What if that money would have been used to GIVE people a better life in stead of making weapons that TAKE lives?

Do a quick image search for ammo production in your favourite search engine.
Take good attention to what you see. EVERY SINGLE BULLET is being produced with the purpose to TAKE A LIFE.

There are more bullets then there are living creatures in the solar system!
