In the beginning, there were forums, and it was good. Then, Facebook came along and nearly destroyed all the good community the forums had allowed to blossom, all the while telling us that it was helpful. Activists in New Hampshire, the place with the highest concentration of libertarians in the world, have been trying to use Facebook for organizing, and it seems to have hindered us over time, rather than helped.
It may be too little, too late, but in the hopes of providing those activists a place to organize and communicate outside of facebook, the Shire Society Forums have been upgraded to a very modern forum software called "Discourse". If you love liberty and have been wanting to connect with the other libertarians, voluntarists, and liberty-loving anarchists in the Shire, the new Shire Society Forums are the place.
