Now it is difficult to accurately determine when the Internet has changed the vector in the direction of refusing anonymity, having erected a social profile in the crown of creation. It happened under all laws of the "Art of War", which is abhorred by aggressive methods of subordinating "new territories". Slowly and delicately, the consciousness of users changed toward acquiring a kind of identity passport on the World Wide Web. With each new year the importance of social networks increased, and their number approached the assortment of the hypermarket. A decade ago, the knowledge of the interlocutor was limited exclusively to the nickname, and sometimes he was completely absent. You could be called anything, use as a visualization profile of your favorite movie hero, animal, fanciful symbol - in general, any image you like. Real photos, by the way, were a relict rarity. Over time, many forums were emptied; Exchange of opinions, advice and undying verbal battles were transferred to the walls, pages, the tapes of the world's social networks. On the one hand - classmates, student friends, friends are always at the distance of a login and password, on the other - an unwanted post dooms for a very real term of imprisonment. Relatively recently, an activist from Naberezhnye Chelny, Rafis Kashapov, was sentenced to three years in prison for several posts in the social network "VKontakte". The convicted person posted on his page texts on political topics, where he unflatteringly spoke about the current administration of the Crimea peninsula and allowed comparison of the incumbent president of the Russian Federation with the notorious head of the NSDAP in the period from 1921 to 1945. A "demotivator" with sharp criticism of Russian foreign policy was also added to the case materials. It is noteworthy that after serving the main sentence, the convict does not have the right to use social networks for two years. The latter fact once again demonstrates the importance of the Internet and the impact of processes occurring in it on actions outside.
This is echoed by the process connected with the leader of the Progress Party (which was denied official registration in the territory of the Russian Federation) by Alexei Navalny. By his public and political activities Navalny goes far beyond the officially acceptable "fork" of criticism of the powers of the Russian Federation. Using the Internet as the main lever for promoting one's own views, he launched many high-profile projects: RosPil, RosYama, RosVybori, Good Machine of Truth, and RosZhKh. Each of the projects is based on the identification, analysis and, most importantly, universal access to information related to the theft of public funds and all kinds of abuses in the ranks of statesmen and employees. For reference: in 2011, by joint efforts of Internet users and the international jury, the project "RosPil" received the award "The most useful resource for society" of the International competition of blogs and network communities The BOBs. The following year brought the project awards in the nominations "Opening of the Year" and "Investor of the Year" network Competition ROTOR, whose goal is to designate the most significant projects and figures of runet.
Having effectively used (and continuing to do this) modern means of communication, Navalny gained the image of the Russian Julian Assange, although their activities differ in many respects. Frankly speaking, the birth of Assange in the territory of the post-Soviet space is almost impossible, since "abortion" can happen at any stage of his life, and publicity this "operation" will not get so accurately (or the objective lens will turn 180 degrees so that we all know the "truth" ). But this lyrical digression, and we will be interested in the fact that since 2010 (when the project "RosPil" started) Navalny is being accused, witnessed, under investigation in a number of administrative, arbitration and criminal cases. The uncertainty of court decisions, which are rendered and adjusted either in haste, or in the search for Achilles' heel - for us are not the essence. The lesson of the judicial decision of February 28, 2014, one of the measures of which concerned the ban on the use of the Internet, is important. I emphasize and insist on the high level of relevance of the Network in today's society. Agree, a decade ago the ban on the use of the Web would have gone down for an anecdote from the last page of the local newspaper. In general, there is a joke in every joke.
"It's time to recognize access to the Internet as a human right. This means that acceptable access to the Web for all must be guaranteed, Internet traffic must be delivered without commercial or political discrimination and with respect for the protection and privacy of the web users and freedom, regardless of where they live ...
... Like all powerful tools, the network can be used for good and evil. When you look at the web, you see humanity, some details are amazing, but some are horrible. You can not make everyone on the Internet a saint. But you can use the Internet for your own good. It's open to everyone, "said Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of the HTTP protocol (thanks to his decision, we know the Internet the way it is).
Undoubtedly, absolutely criminal intentions, which cause real harm to another person or organization, must be identified and committed to appropriate punishment. However, it happens that the measure of good deeds is lost, and the laws take the form of fighting against ideologically dangerous statements, ideas and appeals for the state. An expert in this field on the territory of Russia is the organization "Roskomvoboda". Her years of experience show that even the most negative scenarios of Internet activity can be implemented. On my question about the level of freedom of the user on the Internet, the founder and head of the movement Artem Kozlyuk gave a capacious and honest answer:
"At the moment the Internet is quite free. Although the last few years there is a tendency for him to become enslaved. Roughly speaking, in Asia it began to happen earlier: "The Great Chinese Firewall" (details about this system are given in the next chapter - author's comment) began to "be built" back in the 90s, therefore they got a lot of experience in limiting the dissemination of information. In the Western world - focusing on copyright issues, copyright. Russia inherited negative trends from both sides and decided to implement them on our soil. That is, we have anti-piracy laws that excessively restrict access to any information on their right; There are also laws on political censorship, although they are covered by the words "on countering extremist and terrorist activities", but in fact there is a restriction of access to opposition Internet resources, political statements, etc. There are laws just about blocking prohibited information, and categories of such information are added and added every quarter. Also, the number of state bodies that have the right to restrict access to Internet resources out of court is increasing. And yet the Internet remains the medium in which one can freely speak. Everyone can be convinced of this independently: the user will not be everywhere to ban, he also does not immediately fall under the watchful eye of state bodies. And yet, these laws work - they work selectively, but virtual "clubs" are brought over the heads of each of us. Everyone can get under this or that law enforcement of these laws. At least, this is not total, although litigation takes place daily for reposts, huskies, retweets, the publication of some cartoons, anecdotes, and screenshots of films that are not prohibited. The picture on all subjects of the Russian Federation is rather blurred, it is impossible to single out a particular region. "
We have known since childhood about the opposites, as usual, attracted to each other, but often forget about it. It is time for us to realize that the unifying idea of the Internet has become differences in religious, political, flavor, historical, ideological and other spheres, and everything will immediately fall into place. Thousands of alternative versions of every event, millions of interpretations, countless guesses - a binder of the global online world. The space of information weightlessness is a fundamental idea, bringing this means of communication popularity and enabling long rapid growth. On the one hand, this state of affairs complicates the process of ideological tempering of the population of any country. On the other hand, the minus becomes a plus when using the same technologies: propaganda communities, web portals, blogs, etc. Appetite, unfortunately, comes with eating.
