I'm off the Homestead for a bit, working in the big city...
And yes it is getting cold, not too cold but it's getting there. Have ypu ever noticed how the air feels so much colder than it is coming out of summer months? How about the way it feels when the first warm days come back?
The difference has always been kind of shocking to me. After a cold winter, everyones takes their clothes off the first day temperatures reach 60°f (15°c). After a hot summer on the other hand... those same temperatures feel so cold!
Funny how we adjust to our environment. I read (I say read, but in reality it was an audio book... this may be where the future is going) a book the other day called Sapiens a brief history of humankind. It it, Yuval Noah Harari mensions our incredible ability as humans to adapt to every climate on the globe. Why have we done that instead of continuing to migrate like the rest of the animals pn the planet, I'm not sure, but this post isn't about our history.
I am back in the big city to make money for our growing homestead. With me being away and only seeing my family on the weekends, I want to take any extra time I have to learn, and plan for next year so we don't have to be seperated this much.
Small sacrifices for More Freedom!
We've just had our first week away from eachother and it was fine but I do miss them a lot! So much so that I stayed home sunday night and sst off to go to work at 3 o'clock this morning.
I can do this... Just a few more weeks before the end of the year. The rest of the winter will be another story, but we're prepping for an easy future in a permaculture state of mind!
The @EcoTrain has made me very happy and proud to be a part of it, have a look at what other passengers have been writing

QUOTE OF THE MONTH: @Flemingfarm
If you don't like your surroundings, change them
If you don't like your situation, change it.
If you don't like your decisions, make different ones.
All of this leads to the life that YOU want to lead, not the one others want you to lead.
Life is like chess, always try and think at least 5 moves ahead, and if you can see the dead ends you can avoid them.
And don't forget… #DreamsComeTrue!
