Peak performance is meditation in motion. - Greg Louganis
Well I couldn't have found a better place for my today's meditation than Mount Allalinhorn, a quite famous mountain in the Swiss Alps.
The weather was perfect, so I enjoyed an absolutely amazing view over the glacier.
Breathing gets tougher when you pass the 13,000ft mark, but the effort is compensated with one of the most stunning views I've experienced during my winter vacations so far.
Let me take you to the top!
Peak performing on top of the world
I can't even tell you how many times I just held on and looked around during my today's session, not really believing my eyes.
The beauty of a snow-covered glacier on a sunny day is kind of unreal.
Only today I took 80 video sequences, not wanting to miss any perspective on the beautiful landscapes. I started early in order to fully enjoy the whole day up on the slopes.
Now - sitting in the lobby of my hotel having a drink and waiting for dinner - I can't feel my legs anymore :-)
Still I'm in the flow; and if time didn't exist, I'd probably stay a little eternity longer.
If I had one wish free I'd always choose outdoor sports.
This one goes to my parents:
Thanks for taking me to the mountains when I was a little kid and teaching me how to ski very early! It makes my life even more complete. I love you to the moon and back!!!
Everybody should have the chance to learn how to ski once in a lifetime. It's a wonderful way of experiencing full freedom.
What I feel when I ride down these slopes? Everything and nothing at once :-)
Let's get lost and be free!
I wouldn't lie if I told you that I shed some tears due to the beauty of this place.
When you leave the gondola, walk through the station carrying your skis on your shoulder, being full of emotion and excitement, then pass the sliding door and finally step outside to witness a view on the glacier that's beyond divine, then this is a moment that will change you forever.
It's an instant that will never ever disappear from your memory again since it touched all your senses and made you feel the happiest person alive.
Sometimes even heaven is overrated.
My picture of the day for you
I wish everybody in the world could have the chance to visit this stunning place once in a lifetime.
If you've ever the chance to travel to the Swiss Alps: do it! Don't even think about it.
You gonna love it, I'm totally convinced.
Hugs & kisses, Marly -
