Completely agree with you on everything but Gab. As a developer, it isn't as easy as creating an app and putting it on the store to get people to flock to your platform, and word of mouth might get you a handful of users if you're lucky. The reason most of the big names in social media or chat exist today is because they found the capital needed to advertise. Gab may be amazing, but until this video I had never heard of the service. Just like the essential phone or even steem, people are hesitant to try new things unless they have friends that use it, but their friends aren't likely to use it because THEIR friends aren't using it. Thus they go back to facebook and wine and complain about their policies, instead of taking a stand and trying something new. Its a sad state our world is in.
