I thought I could hear assumeditwaskatie talking to Mrs Cherry in the kitchen.
Mrs Cherry said something and assumeditwaskatie laughed and I heard the words, "the other players will never agree to that!" and then I heard Mrs Cherry say "Fuck 'em!" and then something else, that I couldn't catch.
So they were working together. And it was some kind of game.
I wondered if I was considered a player, or just a pawn on their fucked up board game. I thought it was probably the later. If you were considered a player surely you had to know you were playing a game, and at least have some idea of what the rules were.
I crept down the stairs, and tried the front door. As I thought it was locked.
So what to do?
Pretend I didn't know that they were playing a game, and try to work out what game they were playing and try to beat them at said game. Or confront them and tell them I didn't want to play.
Overturn the board, as it were.
I still hadn't decided as I walked back into the kitchen. Mrs Cherry looked up as I walked in.
"Hello," she said. "Have a good shit?"
