Her whole body was tingling that was the first awareness. She wiggled her toes and fingers. Slowly blinked a few times taking in the new surroundings. The last thing she remembered was smoke stinging eyes and burning lungs. The city burning around her as the people fled.
Yes it had all been very real the aroma from singed clothing filled the air.
The bag! She quickly felt for it finding it safely still hanging over her shoulder she relaxed a bit, relieved.
People were everywhere looking confused. Overheard exclamations from the crowd indicating many were wondering how they had arrived in this place.
She was able to weave between the chattering groups toward a large oval shaped window.
The smoke still billowed making it hard to catch a view of the burning city far below.
Just before her world had began to swirl into dreamlike jumbled memory she had been doing something down there.
Oh yes she had been adding to her collection bag.Sliding one hand into the bag she felt the square leather case.
The small kit was still there. Now to find a secluded corner where she could open it up unnoticed.
