According to facebook.com help:
A cover photo is the larger photo at the top of your profile, above your profile picture.
Time was when life was simpler. I was raised in the age of photo albums. To this day, mom loves to collect her photos on photo albums. I do have old photo albums, mostly a collection of my daughter's baby pictures and the milestones of her growing up years. I've kept a few of my own growing up photos as well.
However, since Facebook came into the picture, I have stopped having photos printed. Usher in the age of digital cameras, and hardly anyone else uses films on cameras. I personally like the ease of using digital cameras as I could choose the photos I would most likely share. The not-so-good ones get stashed to some hidden folders somewhere.
I learned about cover photos from Facebook. Since it is public anyway, here it my FB cover photo...
My Twitter page also has its own cover photo. I thought I'd just drop it in here as well...
I mostly use meaningful cover photos for my profile. Otherwise, it's a dilemma on which to feature from the huge number of photos that I have on my digital photo albums.
