Freewrite
Today, the freewrite prompt is yogurt. I have been having so much fun in these freewrites once again. Total stress-relievers! I hope you enjoy.
Freezer
"James, we're almost out of yogurts. Go get some from the storage".
"Fine."
He dragged his feet as he slouched - not a good impression in front of his supervisor. Although, he did not care if he would get fired. Nobody liked working at that supermarket. It was the only supermarket in the town, and they could barely get any competent stuff to keep it running.
James walked into the storage and looked for the refregerated yogurts. He peeked into each freezer as he walked past to see where the yogurts were placed. They weren't that organised, so every other week, the items would change places. It was terrible, but he preferred to waste time back there, so that he would not be asked to help some elderly lady with her shopping and her complaining. Loneliness is not a good look on the customers eithers. Go figure.
Frozen pizzas. Frozen peas. Frozen everything. Where are the damn yogurts, he thought to himself. Are they even frozen or refregirated? He was in doubt, but continued to look at each freezer in case it would buy him time. And it bought him a lot of time, as much as it took away. In the next freezer, he saw the head of that girl who quit her job last week. Everyone thought she had run away from town because her father was abusive. Turns out, she was butchered as if she was one of the farm animals.
(P.S. Animals should not be butchered.)
