We were happy the moment we saw snowfall on the TV news. My friend said there could not be a better time to visit Nainital. We heard hundreds of tourists arrived that weekend. So we decided to go there on Sunday to enjoy the snowfall.
On Sunday, we saw a large movement of tourists in Nainital, and people said that it was even bigger on Saturday. As usual, there was a traffic jam in the city. Although the police were busy making arrangements at many intersections, the big crowd failed the system. It looked like the police were helpless to control the huge crowd of tourists.
Despite the rain and cold, there was a big crowd of tourists at the tourist spots throughout the day. Even after stopping the vehicles of tourists in the temporary parking of the bypass, vehicles were seen plying on the roads throughout the day in the city. Image
Tourist places like Tallital, Mallital, Mall Road, Pantpark, Band Stand, Zoom Land, China Town, Lower Bazar, Himalayan Botanical Garden, and Naina Devi Temple were all crowded with a large number of tourists. At the same time, tourists enjoyed boating on Naini Lake, which had started getting a thin layer of snow.
Despite the cold, it was heartwarming to see the faces of business owners in such a large quantity. They were expecting a good business as all the hotels and parking lots in the city were full of vehicles. We saw thousands of tourist vehicles enter from Lakebridge Octroi and near Mallital Octroi.
However, we managed to enter Nainital with great difficulty, or maybe we managed because only the tourist vehicles that had booked hotels with parking were allowed and we had our booking in a hotel, but no parking booking. So we were sent to Nainital by bus shuttle service. By late evening, there was a fresh snowfall and a big crowd enjoyed it.
